* These Testers have been based on the Japanese
Industrial Standard JIS-D 5301 for Lead Acid Batteries.
* The tester has a 3 1/2 digit 20 Volts LED Voltmeter, powered by the Battery
under test
* The tester has 3 loads of 150 / 300 / 500 Amps, which could be selected,
depending on the capacity of the Battery, by means of a 3-way switch. The
selected load is indicated by the digital display
* Colour coded LEDs flash to indicate the condition of battery under load.
* To avoid over-discharging the battery under load test, an electronic timer is
provided which imposes the battery under test for a fixed time
* Model BCT-500A is additionally provided with a 3 1/2 digit LED Ammeter of 0 -
200 Amps to check the charging current of the battery. It can also be used to
check the cranking current of the starter motor, provided it is below 200 Amps
* The Model BCT-500 can test the Battery Voltage, Battery Condition under Load
and Voltage Regulator. The Model BCT-500A can additionally test the and Battery
Cranking Voltage
* Both the models are supplied trolley mounted with cables and clamps

is powered by the battery under test and can be used for testing voltages
between 8 - 20 Volts
* LCD Voltmeter is a digital voltmeter having Liquid Crystal display. It has a
range of 0 - 20 V with a least count reading of 0.01 Volts. It is used for
testing open circuit voltage of 2V, 6V and 12 V batteries as well as the
charging system of an automobile. Also available with range of 0 - 200 V to test
24 Volts system
